Does Seeke come with any channels?

No. Seeke is all eyes and no channels: it has no channels, movies or series of its own and sells no subscriptions. Everything you watch comes from a playlist you already have, usually from an IPTV provider you pay. If you don't have one yet, we can't point you to one.

Where did Live, Movies and Settings go?

They're behind the Seek bar. Tap it with nothing typed and every section drops down: Home, Live, Guide, Movies, Series, Favourites and Settings, with your recent searches below. Start typing and it goes looking instead.

How do I add a playlist?

On the first screen, pick Xtream Codes, M3U link or M3U file. To add another later, go to Settings > Library > Playlists.

Seeke asks one question at a time, starting with a name, which can be anything you like. The rest is usually in your provider's email. Paste a full get.php link and Seeke fills in the answers for you. It checks that everything works before saving, and when it does: Found it.

Xtream Codes or M3U: which one do I use?

Use Xtream Codes if your provider gave you a server address, username and password. Lists load one group at a time, and you get movie and series details, the TV guide and catch-up where your provider offers them.

M3U is one long list, from a link or from a file on your device (.m3u, .m3u8 or .txt). It loads all at once and has no catch-up, and its TV guide needs a guide link, named in the playlist or added by you.

If you paste an M3U link that's really an Xtream account, Seeke notices and uses Xtream for you.

What's the difference between Free and Premium?

Free gives you one playlist, with ads. Premium, which we call Seeke Sharp, gives you as many playlists as you like, lets you create collections and removes every ad.

Everything else is the same on both: Seek, the TV guide, catch-up, reminders, Favourites and the kids lock. The price is on the purchase screen.

How do I switch playlists?

Tap the playlist's name at the end of the title row, just under the Seek bar, and pick another. You can also tap one in Settings > Library > Playlists, or play something from another playlist in your Seek results.

Each playlist keeps its own Favourites, collections, Continue watching and kids-lock rules. An expired Xtream account can't be picked until your provider renews it.

How do I remove a playlist?

Go to Settings > Library > Playlists and choose Remove. Before you confirm, Seeke lists what goes with it: its Favourites, collections, Continue watching, recent channels, pinned groups, kids-lock rules, reminders and TV guide copy, plus the imported file for an M3U file.

Your subscription with the provider isn't touched. Seeke asks for the PIN if that playlist has kids-lock rules.

Can I search several playlists at once?

That's the whole idea. Tap the Seek bar and type at least two letters. Seeke looks through all your playlists and groups what it finds by playlist, active one first. Tap a result from another playlist and Seeke switches to it and opens it.

Each playlist's kids-lock rules still apply, and more than one playlist needs Seeke Sharp. Recent searches stay on this device until you clear them in the Seek panel.

Why does my first search take a while?

To keep things quick, Seeke only loads the Xtream groups you open. To search everything it first needs the full lists of channels, movies and series, and those can be huge. So the first search fetches them and says so beside that playlist.

After that, searching is quick until you close the app, because lists aren't saved on the device. M3U playlists are already loaded, so they don't make you wait.

Why does All ask before loading?

On Xtream, All means asking your provider for every item in that section, which can take a while on a big list. Tap Load once and it covers All, Show counts and sorting by size for that section until you close the app. M3U playlists never ask.

How do Favourites work?

Tap the star or Add to Favourites on a channel, movie, series or episode. It then shows up in the Favourites section, on Home and as a group in Live, Movies or Series, and opens at once even when its group hasn't loaded.

Removed one by mistake? Tap Undo and it goes back where it was. Each playlist has its own Favourites.

What are collections?

Your own named lists, with a colour and a choice of what goes in: anything, or only channels, movies, series or episodes. Use Add to collection on any item.

Creating one needs Seeke Sharp. If Seeke Sharp ends, the collections you already made stay and keep working.

How does Continue watching work?

Seeke remembers where you stopped in a movie or episode. It shows up in Continue watching on Home and in the Continue group, ready to carry on or Start over. At 95% it counts as finished.

Live channels go to Seen lately and the Recent group instead. To wipe the lot for the active playlist, use Clear watch history in Settings > Library.

What does the kids lock do?

Set a 4-digit PIN in Settings > Library > Kids lock, then choose the sections, groups or single channels to lock on each playlist. Anything locked asks for the PIN. Once it's entered, that playlist stays open until you tap Lock again or restart the app. Five wrong tries mean a 30-second wait.

It's a helper, not a guarantee: it can only go by the way your provider labels things, so look through the groups yourself.

I forgot my PIN. What now?

The honest answer: it can't be recovered, not even by us. Seeke keeps only a one-way hash on this device, so there's nothing to look up and nothing we can reset.

The only way out is to delete the app and install it again. That also removes your playlists, Favourites, collections and settings, so keep your provider's details at hand first. Seeke Sharp isn't lost: it comes back on its own or with Restore purchases.

Why does it keep buffering?

Buffering nearly always comes from the connection or the provider's server. Try these:

• Move closer to your Wi-Fi router, or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

• Stop other downloads and streams on the same connection.

• Try without a VPN if you use one.

• Try another channel. If only one stutters, the problem is that channel's stream.

• Check Connections on your account in Settings > Library > Playlists. Your plan may allow only one device at a time.

If everything stutters at busy hours, your provider is the one to ask.

Something won't play. What can I try?

Seeke already tries the stream's other addresses before showing an error. After that:

• Tap Try again.

• Play something else in the same group, to see whether it's one stream or all of them.

• Check that your account is Active in Settings > Library > Playlists.

• Close Seeke and open it again to fetch the lists anew.

Streams come from your provider, so a dead one can only be fixed there. If it plays elsewhere but not in Seeke, use Email support and tell us which one.

Seeke says my login is wrong or my account isn't active.

That answer comes from your provider's server. Check the server address, including the port (like http://server.com:8080), and make sure the username and password match exactly, capitals included. Copying them from your provider's email helps.

If the account has expired or been switched off, only your provider can renew it.

Why is a channel, movie or series missing?

Seeke shows what your provider sends, and providers add, move and remove things whenever they like. Before asking them:

• Check that the right playlist is active.

• Seek for it, in case it moved to another group.

• Check that the kids lock isn't hiding it.

• Close Seeke and open it again to fetch the lists anew.

We can't add anything to a playlist, because we've never seen it.

Why is the TV guide empty?

Seeke can only show what it receives, and not every provider sends a guide. Try these:

• Tap Refresh guide on the TV guide screen.

• On an M3U playlist, tap Add a guide link and paste an XMLTV link. You'll also find it in Settings > Library > Playlists, in that playlist's TV guide options.

• Give big guides a moment: those files can be very large.

Still empty? Your provider probably sends nothing for those channels.

Why are the programme times off?

Some guides run early or late. Use Guide time shift in the playlist's TV guide options (Settings > Library > Playlists) to move them up to 12 hours either way, in 30-minute steps. It changes the times you see and your reminders, never catch-up. Times are shown in your device's time zone.

What is catch-up, and why do only some channels have it?

Catch-up plays programmes that have already aired, for as many days as your provider keeps them. The recordings live with your provider, so it decides which channels get it. It only works on Xtream accounts, not M3U.

Look for the catch-up mark on a channel, then tap a past programme in the TV guide or in the player's programme list. A programme that's still running can be watched from the start.

Can I pause or rewind live TV?

On channels with catch-up, yes. Use the −10 min, −2 min and −30 s keys or the bar, up to 4 hours back, and the LIVE tag shows how far behind you are. The Live key takes you back. Seeke records nothing: it reads your provider's archive, so the last minute or two isn't reachable.

On other channels you can pause, but playing again jumps to live.

Why didn't my reminder ring?

Reminders are notifications from this device, about five minutes before a programme starts, so iOS has to let them through. Check these:

• iOS Settings > Notifications > Seeke IPTV must allow notifications.

• Focus or Do Not Disturb can hide them.

• Settings > Library > Reminders should still list it. Removing a playlist cancels its reminders.

• If the programme times are off, so is the reminder. See Guide time shift.

Up to 50 reminders can wait at once.

How do I change sound, subtitles or the picture?

While something plays, tap the video and open the player's settings. You'll get a plain sentence: Sound is English. Subtitles are off. Tap any highlighted word to see its choices, from sound and subtitles to fit, aspect, speed and the sleep timer. Caption style, at the end, changes how subtitles look.

Which sound and subtitle tracks you get depends on the stream.

I bought Seeke Sharp. How do I get it back?

Go to Settings > Membership and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple account you bought it with. After a reinstall on the same device, it usually comes back by itself.

How do I cancel Seeke Sharp?

Apple runs the billing, so cancelling happens there: iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Seeke IPTV. Do it at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Seeke Sharp stays on until the period you paid for ends. Deleting the app doesn't cancel it, and refunds go through Apple too.

Where are my playlist details kept?

Only on this device, in Seeke's private storage. We have no account system and no server for them, so we can't see your logins or links, and we can't bring them back if you delete the app. Keep your provider's email somewhere safe.

Seeke talks straight to your provider. The Privacy policy in Settings has the full story.

Can I change my ad choices?

Yes. Where your region requires consent, Ad privacy choices is in Settings > Privacy. Tracking permission is in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking: no means less tailored ads, not fewer, and everything plays the same. Seeke Sharp removes the ads altogether.
